Mr. Buigas was born in Miami, FL, the youngest of nine children of immigrant parents. As an undergraduate, Mr. Buigas attended Florida International University while working a full-time job to finance his studies and graduated with honors with a degree in English and American Literature. He earned a full scholarship to law school and attended the University of Florida Levin College of Law, graduating in 1998.

Following his graduation, Mr. Buigas returned to South Florida where he began his career representing physicians, physician extenders, nurses, pharmacists, nursing homes and healthcare facilities in medical negligence claims. For over 20 years Mr. Buigas handled hundreds of cases ranging across all medical specialties, several of which were the focus of both local and national media attention. Over his career he has brought over 30 medical malpractice jury trials to verdict, in addition to the jury trials involving other complex legal matters. He is now focused on using his well-earned knowledge and experience to benefit victims of medical negligence and their families.

Mr. Buigas is AV-Preeminent Rated by Martindale Hubbell and is a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates, an invitation-only group of experienced trial lawyers and judges dedicated to protecting the right to civil jury trials. When he is not pursuing justice for his clients, Mr. Buigas can be found spending time with his family, coaching soccer, or attending one of his children's many activities.
