To me, how I came to practice law isn’t nearly as important as how I go about actually practicing it. Really, the thing to know is that I am 100% on my clients’ side from the moment they come to our office, and I always fight for them as if I were fighting for my own family. Every case represents someone’s suffering, and that’s not something I’m inclined to sit back and watch.

I’ve always been gung-ho about my work, and as I’ve said, it’s the now that truly matters. Still, if you’re curious to know what fueled the fire that is my legal practice, I can tell you that it started with a car wreck. When I was a kid, a young, inexperienced driver slid into our vehicle on an icy road, and my mother ended up paying the price. To this day, her injuries continue to affect certain aspects of her life. I decided at an early age that I wanted to help people going through the same thing.

My Perspective on Personal Injury

The unfortunate truth is that accidents do happen. I understand this fact all too well, and I practice law in Minnesota, which is a no-fault state. As a result, my focus isn’t so much on punishing the at-fault party as it is aiding the victim of injury. My goal is always to get what they and their family need in order to take care of themselves and move forward past the incident.

Saying that we offer personalized service is an understatement. Every client matters to every person on our team.

My practice focuses on the successful resolution of all litigation matters, with an emphasis on insurance-related disputes. I have helped my clients obtain successful results in a variety of legal matters, including personal injury, insurance disputes, medical malpractice, products liability, and arbitration. If you have a legal concern related to any of these matters, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.

Everyone’s style of dispute resolution is a little different. As for me, I utilize an aggressive litigation strategy built around focused expert investigation, information gathering, and preparation to maximize my clients' likelihood of success. Additionally, I routinely advise and represent clients through all stages of civil litigation, including initial claim investigation and evaluation, discovery, motion practice, mediation, and trial. In other words, I handle legal matters at all stages — from start to finish.

Laura and Jonathan are proud residents of St. Paul’s Highland Park community and are currently expecting their first son.
