Luke Kiel is an Associate in our office in Tampa, and he specializes in defending hospitals, nursing homes, physician groups, doctors, nurses, and other health care professionals in a wide range of medical malpractice and negligence lawsuits.

He has represented numerous assisting living facilities and nursing homes in lawsuits alleging Chapter 429 and 400 violation of rights and negligence as well as premises liability and general liability claims. When desired, he negotiates settlements on behalf of clients and protects their interests in mediation. He has represented clients at binding arbitrations that resulted in complete defense verdicts.

Luke also defends physicians, nurses, and other providers in medical malpractice claims including wrongful diagnosis, misdiagnosis, injury, negligent care, and other liability claims.

Earlier in his career, Luke concentrated his practice on real estate litigation and represented banks and other lending institutions in bankruptcy and related disputes. He handled numerous residential foreclosure, quiet title, subrogation, lien and interpleader actions, and managed a portfolio of hundreds of cases while representing clients in numerous bench trials.

Luke earned a Juris Doctor from Stetson University and a Masters of Business Administration from Stetson University’s School of Business Administration. He also completed a Bachelor of Science, with distinction, in Business Economics and Public Policy Analysis with a minor in Political Science from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business. He was deeply involved in Big Brothers Big Sisters of America, and he remains close to his “Little.”
