Biography

Meet Luke Pfeifer — personal injury lawyer in Alton

Luke Pfeifer is an attorney based in Alton, ILLINOIS. The practice focuses on Personal Injury and Product Liability.

Attorney Luke Pfeifer is an associate at Simmons Hanly Conroy, where he focuses his practice on helping families affected by mesothelioma and other asbestos-related diseases. He joined the firm in 2019.

Knowledge, Empathy and Passion

Luke decided to become a plaintiffs’ lawyer because he wanted to be a voice for those who do not possess the means to speak for themselves.

“My clients should expect me to handle their case as though I was representing one of my own family members,” he said. “They can place their faith in me, certain of my knowledge of the products they worked with, empathy for their difficult circumstances, and passion in advocating for their justice.”

Luke works directly with clients at all stages of the litigation process, including multiple in-person meetings to discover how they were exposed to asbestos. Every detail is important, from where they grew up and attended school to their work and home environment. Once Luke determines who is responsible for his client’s illness, he begins working to make sure those entities answer for their negligence.

“By utilizing the knowledge and experience I have gained, I can put my clients’ minds at ease by uncovering who is ultimately responsible for their injuries and taking an aggressive yet strategic approach to a favorable result on their behalf,” he said.

Early Success

Before joining the firm, Luke spent five years with another Illinois law firm and practiced in products liability litigation on the plaintiffs’ side with a focus on asbestos exposure claims. He also handled other products liability actions, including pharmaceutical drug and medical device cases.

Within his first five years as a lawyer, he helped recover more than $16 million from various entities on behalf of clients. One key case involved reaching a mesothelioma settlement for the family of a deceased woman, the spouse of a Chicago-based asbestos insulator, who contracted mesothelioma after being exposed to asbestos while laundering her husband’s work clothes for more than 20 years.

Education

Luke received a B.S. in Sociology and Business Administration from Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville in 2011. He received his J.D. from Saint Louis University School of Law, with a concentration in Civil Litigation, in 2014. When he’s not practicing law, he enjoys playing the guitar and cheering on the St. Louis Cardinals and St. Louis Blues.
