About Michael Tricoli — Over 12 years of Florida criminal defense experience

Michael Tricoli is a founder based in Longwood, FL. The practice focuses on Criminal Defense, General, and Health Care. Michael has over 12 years of legal experience. Currently practicing at Tricoli Law, PLLC.

Michael Tricoli, the visionary behind Tricoli Law, embarked on his legal journey as a Prosecutor in Jacksonville, where he faithfully represented the State of Florida in Duval County and Nassau County. With a strong foundation in the criminal justice system, Michael gained extensive trial experience during his tenure at the State Attorney's Office. Having witnessed the legal process from both sides, he developed a profound understanding of how the State prepares a case against a defendant and how defendants can effectively prepare to win in trial.

Born and raised in Central Florida, Michael's formative years were spent in Sanford, where he attended Seminole High School. During this time, he excelled in academics and played football, while also forming a lifelong connection with his high school sweetheart, who is now his wife. Michael pursued his higher education at Grinnell College in Iowa, where he not only achieved academic success but also actively participated in D-III football. Remarkably, he played every offensive down for the Grinnell Pioneer Football Team throughout his four-year tenure. Michael earned a dual degree in History and Art History, a testament to his dedication and intellectual curiosity. Subsequently, he immersed himself in the automotive industry, working as a hands-on manager for a car detailing company. However, his calling to the legal profession became undeniable, leading him to pursue a law degree at the prestigious University of Florida Levin College of Law. Michael's academic excellence and commitment to his craft resulted in a Cum Laude graduation, along with multiple accolades for his contributions to the UF Trial Team.

Immediately after passing the Florida Bar, Michael joined the 4th Judicial Circuit as an Assistant State Attorney. In this role, he skillfully prosecuted a range of misdemeanor and felony cases, including DWLSRs, DUIs, Domestic Batteries, Drug Trafficking, Armed Robberies, and Financial Crimes. His time at the State Attorney's Office was marked by nearly twenty jury trials, numerous bench trials, and countless motion hearings, further solidifying his expertise in the courtroom.

Seizing an opportunity to return to his roots in Seminole County, Michael transitioned into the role of in-house legal counsel for a group of ambulatory surgery centers. As legal counsel, he tirelessly advocated for healthcare centers and physicians in matters of health law, employment law, and business law, often going head-to-head against insurance companies and their tenacious legal teams. This experience provided him with invaluable insights into the intricacies of the healthcare business, complementing his extensive knowledge of criminal law and setting him apart as a well-rounded attorney.

With years of experience spanning personal injury, health, and criminal law, Michael Tricoli stands out as a legal professional who can offer his clients a unique blend of expertise. His unwavering commitment to achieving favorable outcomes for his clients and his ability to navigate complex legal landscapes make him a trusted ally in times of legal need.
