After majoring in Legal Studies and completing an internship with the Gale-Schenone Hall of Justice Clerk's Office, he became determined to combine his passion for helping people with his interest in the law.

While in law school he gained a broad perspective of the law by working for two small law firms and for the U.S. Attorney's Office in San Diego.
