Meet Peter Wilborn — pedestrian lawyer in Winter Garden

Since 1998 after having suffered a cycling fatality in my own family, I have represented over 750 cyclists and their families on their very worst days. Bike crashes are different from other personal injury cases in many ways: mostly because we treasure our time in the saddle, and the contrast between our joy and instant tragedy can be devastating -- especially when the crash takes that joy away.
As the Managing Partner of Wilborn Law, I represent injured cyclists. As an advocate for better and safer cycling, I am the Founder of the Bike Law Network of independent bike lawyers across the country and the Co-Founder of the non-profit Bike Law Foundation, each of which serves a different function to protect all people who ride.
I live and breathe our cause: I testify before legislatures for legal reform, speak to bicycle clubs and advocacy groups, and train law enforcement on bicycle safety and bicycle laws.
My work has been nationally recognized: in 2007 I was awarded the Pro Bono Lawyer of the Year award (1 of 5 in the country) by the American Bar Association, in addition to awards from the South Carolina Bar Association and advocacy groups. I have been rated a Pre-Eminent Attorney for over a decade.
