After graduating third in his class from law school, Steve served as law clerk to the Honorable George C. Young, Chief Judge, United States District Court, Middle District of Florida (1977-78). After completing his clerkship, followed by a period of private litigation practice, Steve served as an Assistant United States Attorney for the Middle District of Florida (1980-83). Later, after returning to private practice, Steve served as Special Assistant United States Attorney in winding up a complex case.
Recognition
Guardian ad Litem Award of Excellence, 2011-2016: Award presented to an attorney who has demonstrated an outstanding commitment to pro bono case work for Orange County Bar Legal Aid Society Clients. Mr. Milbrath has been a pro bono panel member since 1992 and has primarily taken Guardian ad Litem (legal guardian) cases.
