Todd Flood is the managing partner of Flood Law, PLLC and has a proven track record of trying over three hundred cases. Prior to establishing Flood Law, Todd worked as an Assistant Wayne County Prosecutor. As a prosecutor, Todd litigated and tried a variety of cases ranging from homicides, complicated fraud cases, narcotics trafficking cases and criminal sexual conduct cases, to general crimes. Prior to leaving the Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office, he was promoted to Principal Attorney in charge of the Drug House Unit under Mike Duggan. While in the Drug House Unit, Todd successfully litigated against absentee landowners, including the DNR and mortgage holders, to clean up blighted houses that were used to sell narcotics.

Since leaving the Prosecutor’s Office, Todd has been recognized for litigating complicated civil claims, including wrongful death suits, civil rights violations and whistleblower actions.

Todd’s work has earned him the recognition amongst his peers as a Top Lawyer in the State of Michigan, A Fellow of the State Bar, an honor which is earned by less than one percent of the Bar, a Fellow of the Oakland County Bar, recognition from Crain’s Detroit Business as a top lawyer, multiple awards in the Super Lawyers publication, Lawyers Weekly Award as one of the Top Ten Lawyers of the Year in the State, along with many other honors and awards.

Some of Todd’s most notable work has been in courtrooms across the state, where he has successfully tried hundreds of cases. These cases include defending complicated RICO prosecutions, homicides, and corporations and individuals facing the might of the government. Todd’s experiences have also led him into the arena of conducting investigations. These investigations have included matters involving companies, universities, hospitals and local municipalities.

This is not the first time Todd has been called upon to step in to prosecute cases while being in private practice. Todd was designated as a Special Assistant Attorney General to prosecute cases in Oakland County and assist in prosecuting a pharmaceutical company.
